Traditional Muskoka at its’ best. 

This classic Muskoka cottage sits perched atop a sloping hillside along the northern shores of Lake Joseph. The steep slope coupled with the lots size limited development to a single 1,500 sq. ft area. The resulting design made the most of the limited area, removing all non-essential spaces to produce the most efficient—yet comfortable—layout possible. The final design

produced 3,000 sq ft of finished space between 3 floors, 5 bedrooms, 4 baths, and an expansive lake-side deck. The interior was inspired by traditional Muskoka cottages and fine boats, featuring stained wood ceilings and a timber Muskoka Room. The natural stone fireplace serves as the primary focal point, offering 18ft of stunning masonry-work. This truly is the quintessential family cottage.
